Was born on August 10, 1955 in Leningrad.
Graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Culture named after N.K. Krupskaya with a degree in directing folk theaters (workshop of Boris Sapegin). After serving in the army in 1978 at the Lenfilm film studio, where he rose from a senior administrator of film crews to director and producer. In parallel, in 1984 he graduated from LGITMIK with a degree in television directing (workshop of Vadim Gorlov). He worked as director of the film production of the Barmaley film studio, headed by film director Sergei Snezhkin.
In 2004 he founded LLC "Studio" EN, where he worked in the last years of his life.
