Born on June 6, 1937, Kraku town, Lithuanian SSR. Director, actor.
In 1955-1957 he studied at the acting department of the Vilnius Conservatory. In 1962 he graduated from the directing department of GITIS, in 1967 - the Higher Directing Courses at the Lenfilm film studio.
Before studying at VGIK, he was a director of Kaunas and Vilnius drama theaters. Since 1962 - the main director of the Khabarovsk Youth Theater. Since 1964 - ass. director of the Lithuanian cinema Lives and works in Lithuania.
