Born June 21, 1920 in Tbilisi.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. In 1951 he graduated from the directing department of VGIK (workshop of Igor Savchenko).
In 1947-1951 he worked as an assistant director at the Kiev Film Studio.
Since 1951 - director at the "Armenfilm" film studio. Has directed 13 feature films and more than 20 documentaries.
He died on October 23, 1994 in Moscow.
