Thomas Milian was born into a Cuban military family on March 3, 1932 in Havana. A coup in Cuba forced Father Thomas, a repressed general and adherent of the old regime, to commit suicide. This tragedy left a strong imprint on the childhood and youth of Thomas Milian.
