Consists of three high school girlfriends: Coko (Cheryl Gamble), Taj (Tamara Johnson) and Lelee (Leanne Lyons) .
All three vocalists sang in church as children, where they learned harmony. Their demo cassette piqued the interest of producer Teddy Riley, a former Guy member and arguably the originator of a style called New Jack Swing.
