Filippo Timi is an Italian actor and screenwriter, born on June 25, 1974 in Perugia (Italian region of Umbria) .
Filippo Timi made his theater debut with Dario Marconcini and at the Pontegera Experimental Theater Center (Centro per la Sperimentazione e la Ricerca teatrale de Pontedera) with Cesare Ronconi, Bob Wilson and Pippo Delbono at the Teatro Valdoca de Cesena. In 1996 he joined the theater company Giorgio Barberio Corsetti.
In 2004 he received the Ubu italien award for Best Young Actor, and in 2010 the Lo Straniero award of the eponymous magazine Goffredo Fofi. In the movie, he was nominated for the David di Donatello Award for Best Actor for his role as Mussolini in the drama Vincere.
