Was born in 1955. Graduated from the Yaroslavl Theater School in 1982. He was assigned to work in the Youth Theater of Rostov-on-Don. In 1989 he was admitted to the troupe of the Lenin Komsomol Theater in Leningrad (now the St. Petersburg Theater "Baltic House"). 1978 to 1993 was married to actress Anna Samokhina. In 1983, they had a daughter, Alexandra.
