Leslie Howard, nee Leslie Howard Steiner (April 3, 1893 - June 1, 1943) is a British film and theater actor, producer and director. Was popular in the 30s. Laureate of the Venice Film Festival (1938). The most famous films with Howard's participation are Berkeley Square (1933), The Scarlet Primrose (1934), and Pygmalion (1938). The modern generation is known mainly for the role of Ashley Wilkes in the film "Gone with the Wind" (1939).
