Konrad Veidt is a German actor who has been mainly involved in film expressionism. The artist was born in Berlin. In 1913, having completely failed his exams, he dropped out of the gymnasium and preferred the theater school, headed by Max Reinhardt. In May of the same year, the actor gets small roles. In January 1914 he went to the army, and in 1915 - to the front. Due to the transferred jaundice, he ends up in Tilsit, where he does not leave the stage and from time to time plays in the theater.
