Polish actor Jerzy Binczycki was born on September 6, 1937 in Vitkovice, near Krakow. After completing his secondary education, he entered the L. Solski Theater School, which is located in Krakow. After graduation, he was an actor of the Silesian Theater and the S. Wyspianski Drama Theater for 4 years. In the latter theater, Jerzy made a brilliant debut in the play Kingdom People (based on the book by Robert Penn).

In the same period, the first film with Jerzy Binczycki's participation was released - The Other Bank. In this film, the actor played a cameo role - a policeman.

In 1965 Jerzy moves to the Krakow Old Theater. The actor works in it until the end of his life. Moreover, first as an actor, and in the last year of his life, 1998, as a newly appointed director. True, Binchitsky managed to stay in the position of director a little more than 3 months.

The most famous and successful were the roles of Jerzy Bincicki in the film and TV series Nights and Days, as well as in the film The Witch Doctor. In the film Nights and Days, the actor played one of the main roles - Bogumila. The film itself was released in 1975, and in 1977 a series with the same name was also released as a continuation of the film. For his role, the actor received several prestigious awards at once.

Film experts believe that Jerzy Binczycki's real talent manifested itself in the film The Witch Doctor. This is the famous melodrama by Jerzy Hoffman, released in 1982. The film tells about the hardest fate of the once famous surgeon, who, after being beaten by bandits, loses his memory and wanders alone.

In addition to acting, Binczycki was also a member of the Polish Democratic Union party and in 1991 even tried to get into the Senate, but there were not enough votes for him.

The actor died on October 2, 1998. The cause of death is a sudden heart attack.
