Screenwriter, director. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. She graduated from the Faculty of History of Leningrad State University (1975), the scriptwriting faculty of VGIK (1983, workshops of E. Gabrilovich, L. Golubkina, N. Fokina, S. Lungin), then two years of internship at the Lenfilm cinema. In 1989 she graduated from the directing department of the VKSR (workshop of V. Grammatikov).
