Born on February 2, 1949 in Houston, Texas, USA.
Full name - Brent Jay.
Raised by his mother and stepfather, Brent Spiner's father died at the age of 29, when his son was not even nine months old.
Since childhood he loved cinema, dreamed of becoming an actor. During his school years he attended the private drama courses of S. Pikket.
In 1968 he entered Trinity College of the University of Houston, after graduation he went to New York, where he studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute of Cinematography.
1968-1974 - Actor of the Chicago Theaters.
In 1974 he returned to New York and worked as a taxi driver. 1978 - on the Broadway and Off-Broadway stages. In a short time, he became a famous theater actor. Plays in plays by American playwrights, received positive reviews from critics for his participation in the play based on the play by A. Chekhov "The Seagull". In 1997 received a nomination for the main US theater award "Tony" .
He made his film debut in 1970 in the film "My Sweet Charlie" .
