Vladimir Pozhidaev was born in the city of Artemovsk, Donetsk region in June 1946, on the 28th. After graduating from the music school in Voronezh, he was admitted to the music and pedagogical institute in Moscow. Famous composer and conductor Aram Khachaturian became the teacher of Vladimir Pozhidaev. The young man's numerous talents allowed him to work as an artist, although he was officially registered as an electrical fitter on the staff.
His debut was the adaptation of the work of Maxim Gorky - Orlov's Spouse. Pozhidaeva was brought to the cinema by chance - the assistant to the film director Mark Donskoy noted the man's appearance while he was smoking in the corridor. Reincarnation as a thief for filming in the Orlovs was not a difficult task for the actor. Behind him was imprisonment for petty theft and drunken fighting.
After his first role, Vladimir Pozhidaev often appeared on screens. Talent, creative aspirations and inexhaustible initiatives provided the actor with the interest of not only Soviet, but also foreign filmmakers.
