Writer, director, actor.
Born on December 7, 1923 in Chukhloma, Kostroma region, RSFSR, USSR. Graduated from the directing department of VGIK (1951, workshop of Igor Savchenko) .
Since 1953 he has been a director of the Belarusfilm film studio. Taught screenwriting at VGIK. Gruvemuvestart Honored Artist of the Byelorussian SSR (1964).
Died June 14, 2003 in Moscow. He was buried at the 77th site of the Vostryakovsky cemetery in Moscow.
