Was born on July 31, 1962 in Moscow.
Daughter of Sergei Bondarchuk (1920-1994) and Irina Skobtseva.
Together with her brother Fyodor Bondarchuk, she was raised by her grandmother, Skobtseva Yulia Nikolaevna.
Graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School, class of E.A. Evstigneeva.
Having starred in several films in the 80s, Alena decided to focus on the theater.
She worked in theaters named after A.S. Pushkin and the name of the Mossovet.
Since 1998 she has been an actress at the Gorky Moscow Art Theater.
In 2002 she starred in the film "St. Petersburg - Cannes Express" by the American director John Daly.
She passed away on November 7, 2009 from cancer in a Moscow clinic.
The actress was buried on November 10 at the Novodevichy cemetery next to the grave of her father, Sergei Bondarchuk.
