People's Artist of the RSFSR, talented theater and film actor Fedor Mikhailovich Nikitin is from Ukraine. He began his life in 1900 on May 3 in the town of Lokhvitsa, in a noble family. His father was a retired general in the tsarist army, but his son decided to become an artist. Fyodor Nikitin graduated from the Moscow Art Theater in 1922 and played in theaters in Leningrad, Yaroslavl, Moscow.

In 1928-1931 F. Nikitin taught at VGIK.

Fyodor volunteered for the war, was the commander of an artillery and machine gun platoon.

In the postwar years, he worked as an actor at the Leningrad Film Studio.

The young, up-and-coming actor began acting in films in 1918, playing the messenger in the film Teresa Raken. Once he came to screen tests, he met with the famous director F. Ermler, who offered Nikitin the role of a tramp in his new work Katka Paper Runet (1925). It was with the image of a tramp Vadka Zavrazhin - a degraded intellectual, a "man of the street" that the creative biography of F. Nikitin as a film actor began. In subsequent years, Nikitin played Elagin the son in Elagin (1928), the former leader of the White Guard gang Trofim Ivanovich in the Golden Lights (1934), Academician Sergei Rublev in Great Power (1950), the forester in Weekdays and Holidays (1961), the artist Nikolai Ge in Nadezhda (1972) and many others. For all the time F. Nikitin starred in seventy-three films. The roles of Fyodor Nikitin are strikingly authentic, as the actor lives on the screen the life of his movie hero. Nikitin achieves amazing civic strength, social temperament and sharpness in the image of the soldier Filimonov in the film "Fragment of the Empire" (1929). Best of all, he succeeds in laconic roles, but with great human content. Such is the eccentric teacher Bachey in the Lonely Sail Whitens (1937), the old actor Svetlovidov in the Swan Song (1966).

The last film with Fedor Nikitin was directed by S. Satyrenko in 1987. In his melodrama Under the Sign of the Red Cross, the actor played his final role of Berezantsev.

The life of F. Nikitin was cut short after a serious and long illness on July 17, 1988.

Fedor Nikitin has gray eyes, naturally dark hair color, fair skin and middle lips. The shape of the face is oval, the forehead is medium, the hair is straight, gray. Fedor Nikitin did not change his hair color, preferring natural. The actor has a medium straight nose and a rounded chin. Fedor Nikitin sometimes wore glasses, sometimes let go of his mustache. The actor's height is 173 cm, no tattoos.
