Born on July 10, 1931 in the village of Surdegis in the territory of Anyksciai region of Lithuania.
In 1951 he graduated from the studio at the Panevezys Drama Theater.
In 1948-1976 he was an actor at the Panevezys Drama Theater.
Since 1978 - actor at Kaunas Academic Drama Theater.
Honored Artist of the Lithuanian SSR (1974).
People's Artist of the Lithuanian SSR (1981) .
He passed away from cancer on August 19, 2008 in Kaunas, Lithuania.
