Was born on February 7, 1939 in Moscow. In 1965-1970 he studied at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. He worked at the Soyuzmultfilm studio since 1957: first in the graphic workshops, then as an animator, production designer (in the groups of directors V. Bordzilovsky, M. Botov and V. Degtyarev), then, since 1970, as a director. Was the head of the Comics association at Soyuzmultfilm. One of the founders and director (1991-94) of Studio-13. Organizer and founder of the Film School-Film Institute in India and Iran: "ZICA" (teacher and director in 1995-99); “Torbiat. Madares. University "(2000-04). Works at the studio "Christmas Films". Member of ASIFA. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1989).
