Born on April 17, 1948 in Usolye-Sibirskoye, Irkutsk Region. In 1967 he graduated from the acting department of the Irkutsk Theater School, worked at the Irkutsk Drama Theater. Since 1973 - artist of the Omsk Drama Theater. Professor of the Department of Directing, Omsk State University F. M. Dostoevsky.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1985). People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1997).
