November 26, 1909, Krivchunka village, Cherkasy region - December 16, 1995, Kiev.
Ukrainian writer, author of scripts for feature films and documentaries. He began his literary career in 1927. He studied at the literary faculty of the Vinnitsa Pedagogical Institute (1931-1932), was engaged in Komsomol work. As a journalist he collaborated in the press organs of Kharkov and Vinnitsa. Member of the Great Patriotic War. After the war he worked in the Ministry of Cinematography (first deputy of the State Committee for Cinematography of the Ukrainian SSR) and the Ministry of Culture of the Ukrainian SSR.
