She was born on May 31, 1947 in the city of Khmelnitsky in the family of actress Rita Gladunko. The first role was entrusted to her by director Edmond Keosayan in his film "Where are you now, Maxim?" Her partner in this film was the then beginning actor Boris Tokarev, whom she later married. In the same 1964, Lyudmila graduated from school as an external student and entered VGIK. During her studies, Lyudmila Gladunko starred in several films. In 1969 she graduated from the institute and became an actress of the Film Actor's Studio Theater. She starred in almost all the films of her husband Boris Tokarev. In 1996, Lyudmila Gladunko was awarded the title of Honored Actress of the Russian Federation.
