Cliff Robertson is an American actor, screenwriter, producer and director. Full name - Clifford Parker Robertson III. Was born on September 9, 1925 in the state of California, USA. He studied at the Antios Humanities College in Ohio, and worked as a journalist for a short period of time.
Cliff's acting career began in the late 1940s, starring in the anthology television series Kraft Television Theater (1947-1958). In 1955, he made his debut in the feature film Picnic directed by Joshua Logan as Alan Benson (friend of the protagonist Hal Carter). The film received 6 Oscar nominations, 2 of which were victorious. After almost ten years of successful work, Cliff Robertson received the leading roles in the films RT 109 (1963) and The Most Worthy (1964), where he was approved by the 35th President of America - JF Kennedy. In RT 109, Cliff plays a young Lieutenant Kennedy who was in the army. In the film The Most Worthy, he is also in the image of Kennedy, but already in the status of the future head of state, this film received 4 nominations for the Academy Awards, Golden Globes and Karlovy Vary. But the most significant film for the actor is Charlie (1968) and his role as Charlie Gordon, she brought him the Academy Award for Best Actor.
