Born on 11/25/1925, although the date of birth is inaccurate. Various sources indicate both 1925 and 1926. It is only known that Nonna's mother was the head of the collective farm, and her father was a military man. The years of adolescence were difficult, as they fell on the time of the Second World War. Nonna Mordyukova was forced to hide from the German policemen in order to avoid being exiled to Germany.

In 1945, when the war ended, a young girl went to Moscow to enroll in VGIK. Few of the artists who built their careers in those difficult years can boast of the same success that Nonna gained immediately after graduation. From the first time, from the first role, from the first appearance on the screen in the military drama Young Guard, Mordyukova gained all-Union fame. For this role, she was awarded the Stalin Prize of the first degree. It was a sensation!

After completing her studies in 1950, the actress focuses all her energies on cinema. The directors quickly realized that such talent should be used in their films, and literally do not give the girl a pass. Since the late fifties, films with the participation of Nonna Mordyukova have been released at an enviable frequency:

1955 - 1965: Someone else's relatives; Ekaterina Voronina; Father's house; Gloomy morning; It all starts with the road; Three stories by Chekhov; Simple story; Pavlukh; War and Peace;

1966 - 1980: Commissioner; Crane; The Diamond Arm; Burn, burn, my star; It will be late tomorrow; They fought for their homeland; Bog;

1981 - 2000: Relatives; Station for two; Daughter; Shyrli - washed; Mum; I remember.

This is only a paltry percentage of the entire list of masterpiece films in which the outstanding actress has played. For her dedication to the profession, Nonnu is awarded the titles of Honored Artist of the RSFSR and People's Artist of the USSR. Colleagues speak of her only with kind words, and the audience idolizes the actress, because the role of Nonna Mordyukova in every film is undoubtedly a talent. She experiences the fate of each of her heroines as her own, sharing the bitterness and joy of life with them. For this, Mordyukova fell in love with the public - even playing the role, she remained sincere.

The health of a seemingly strong woman in the early nineties was severely crippled by a personal tragedy. She lost her only son, who was born in her first marriage to Vyacheslav Tikhonov.

At that time, everything was going to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the work of the actress was significantly reduced. By the end of her career, Nonna Mordyukova received two more honorary awards: the Order of Merit to the Fatherland and the Nika Prize.

Forever leaving an unshakable mark both in the cinema and in the hearts of loyal friends and fans, the actress left this world on July 6, 2008.
