Butyrka - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips, Music group.

The Russian group Butyrka is known to the general public for its bright musical hits in the chanson style. It is with their light presentation that a modern listener can enjoy such compositions as Girlfriend from the center, It smelled of spring, Don't touch autumn, Snow melts, Icon, Certificate and many others.

And the beginning of the creative path of cult performers was laid in 2001 in Voronezh. It was then that producer Alexander Abramov became interested in an unknown, although talented team and convinced the director of the Master Sound company Yuri Sevastyanov to pay attention to the musicians. Sevastyanov, who has a subtle instinct and has a rich experience in discovering new chanson stars (for example, Nagovitsyn and Krug), agrees to release their first album.

However, there was one small problem - the newly-minted team had no name, and when in September 2001 several convicts escaped from the pre-trial detention center in Moscow, better known as Butyrka, Abramov proposes to christen the team that way.

The debut album bearing the unlucky title First Album appears in 2002, and the Second Album is also released in the same year. Watching Butyrka on stage, listening to tragic stories written by Oleg Simonov's pen and set to simple, soulful music is extremely pleasant. The main feature of the collective is that, in spite of its prison thematic orientation, in their compositions you can find many everyday, lyrical stories.

New Butyrka's albums appear almost every year, and each of them can boast of extraordinary success. So, already in 2004 the world saw the News, in 2005 - the Icon, in 2007 and 2009 the Fifth and Sixth albums, respectively, in the same 2009 - the album Beyond the Law, and in 2010 two whole discs of the group were released - Hooligan and Freedom Street.

In 2013, Butyrka's vocalist Vladimir Zhdamirov left the band and decided to pursue a solo career, and therefore Butyrka 2015 sings with the voice of the new performer Mikhail Borisov, who is familiar with prison life and its regime. Borisov's voice was used to record the band's last album - I'll Return Home (2014).
