Pavel Springfeld was born into the family of a watchmaker in Yekaterinodar on January 21, 1912. After leaving school, he worked at a factory. And a year later he left for Moscow to enter a theater university.

The roles of Pavel Springfeld have always been very diverse. He performed brilliantly, comedic, dramatic, positive and negative characters. In general, he played in eight dozen films shot in various genres. Many of his characters achieved critical praise: Alyosha Listopadov in the film Gemini, Orfano in the film Admiral Ushakov, counterintelligence officer Skunsky in the film Run, Burgomaster in the City of Masters, and others.
Pavel Springfeld was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1969.
The actor was the spouse of Claudia Khabarova, also an honored actress.
The last role of Pavel Springfeld was especially remembered by moviegoers - he played the cloakroom attendant Prokhorov in the inimitable comedy directed by Alexander Sery - Gentlemen of Fortune.
