Ilyin Adolf Alekseevich is a famous theater and cinema artist, an honored cultural figure of the Russian SFSR. He was born in April 1923, in a small village of the former St. Petersburg province (now the Leningrad region) - the village of Burakovo. Adolf actively and courageously participated in the battles of the Great Patriotic War, and in 1942 he was even awarded the highest medal in the system of awards of the Soviet Union - "For Courage".

Returning from the front, Ilyin enters the studio of the Sverdlovsk Drama Theater, and then decides to stay to play within the walls of this theater. Films with the participation of Adolf Ilyin have appeared on screens since 1955. Among them - the dramatic film "Mother" (1955), the scientific drama "In Pursuit of Glory" (1956), the adventure story "The Golden House" (1959), the melodramatic movie "Long Day" (1961) .).

Perhaps the most popular film with Adolf Ilyin is the military melodrama Zhenya, Zhenechka and Katyusha (1967) by Soviet director Vladimir Motyl, which tells the story of the adventures of an intelligent soldier from the Arbat named Zhenya Koshkin, in which the actor played the role of a division commander ... In 1975, Adolf Ilyin moved to Moscow, where he performed at the Mayakovsky Theater until the very last days of his life.

Honored Artist of the USSR died in July 1990 and was buried at the Moscow Preobrazhensky Cemetery.
