Outstanding actor Leon Nemchik was born on December 15, 1923 in the capital of Poland, the beautiful city of Warsaw. During the war, he was one of the active participants in the Warsaw Uprising, which took place in 1944. After he had to move to the occupied by the Americans, the territory of Germany. There he served in the 444th Separate Battalion, 3rd Army, commanded by General Patton. After demobilization, Nemchik returns home to Poland and goes to work in the theater. Already after his release, starting in 1953, he started acting at the Povshechny Theater in Lodz. And finally, in 1953, the first film with Leon Nemczyk was shot - Cellulose. It was one of the works of the talented Polish director Jerzy Kawalerowicz, which brought fame to the actor. After that, he became a sought-after film actor in Poland and other European film studios. One after another, the screens appear on the screens of the Hours of Hope (1955), Three Starts (1955), Nikodem Dyzma (1956), Eroika (1957), The Mysterious Passenger (1959), The Crusaders (1960), Knife in the Water (1962), A Way to Live (1965), Frozen Lightning (1967), Countess Kossel (1968), Angel's Face (1970) and others. In total, the artist starred in more than a hundred films.
Taking part in the filming took so much time that in 1979 he decided to leave the theater and devote himself entirely to film work. Viewers see him in Morning Stars (1980), Vabank (1981), She-Wolf (1982), The Trap (1997), Boys Don't Cry (2000).
