Born June 5, 1935, Tkibuli, Georgian SSR.
Graduated from the Tbilisi Theater Institute named after A. Sh. Rustaveli (1959).
People's Artist of the Georgian SSR (1981).
All-Union fame brought him the role of Abdullah in the film "White Sun of the Desert" (1969).
Then in 1974-1980 there was a popular cycle of short films based on scripts by Rezo Gabriadze, in these films Kakhi played a strong but simple-minded Kakha.
In 1988, the film The Life of Don Quixote and Sancho was released, in which Kakhi played Don Quixote.
