Soviet and Russian actress Tatyana Pankova was born at the end of 1916 in Leningrad in a family of engineers. Her pragmatic parents were against an acting career, despite this, their four children, including Tatiana, still linked their lives with cinema and theater.
After graduating from school, Pankova became a student at Leningrad University, where she studied physics and mathematics. Later, Tatyana transferred to the Polytechnic University, where she was listed in the metallurgy department. Having received a technical specialty, she fulfilled the request of her parents, after which she went to Moscow.
