The famous French prose writer of the 19th century, one of the brightest representatives of the era of realism, Honore de Balzac was born in May 1799 in the city of Tours. Father Honore was engaged in the purchase of confiscated land plots of eminent citizens during the revolutionary time. And later he became deputy mayor in Tours. The father dreamed that his son would become a famous lawyer, and therefore from the age of eight little Honore began to study the basics of jurisprudence. In total, O. de Balzac devoted more than ten years of his life to the study of law, but he never became a lawyer and began to work in the literary field.

By the age of 25, the young man had composed several novels that were fashionable at that time, but the literary style, which was at the peak of its popularity at that time, did not really suit Balzac. Later he will say that following the literary fashion is stupid. The beginning of his active writing fell on the end of 1829. Then his first book saw the light - the historical work of Shuana. This was followed by a novel that critics praised quite highly - Elixir of Longevity; after that there was the story of Gobsek and the novel Shagreen Skin.

In 1831, Balzac decided to write a collection of philosophical stories, having previously divided it into several cycles. The title of this treatise was somewhat ironic - The Human Comedy. To some extent, the novelist ridiculed France of the 19th century, therefore, Honore de Balzac chose the roles very carefully, all his main characters are prominent representatives of French society during the restoration of monarchical power and the period of the July Revolution.

The first film adaptation of one of Balzac's novels was released many years after the death of the prose writer. Today, each of the works of the great realist of the 19th century was used as the basis for scripts for many films.

In 1832, during his first visit to the Russian Empire, Balzac met the Polish Countess Evelina of Hanska, whom he immediately fell in love with. But Evelina was married, but in 1842 she was widowed. After the death of her husband, she could not get married for a long time (these were the laws of the Russian Empire). In 1847, Hanska received permission to marry, but she refused the marriage proposal made to Honore. How many years did Honore de Balzac wait for his love? Without retreating, the writer proposed to Evelina for the third time. This time she agreed. The lovers got married in the spring of 1850, at that time no one knew that the disease would strike Balzac in less than six months ... The novelist was buried in the Parisian cemetery of Pere Lachaise.

Honore de Balzac has brown eyes, naturally dark hair, fair skin and medium lips. The shape of the face is rectangular, the forehead is high, the hair is straight and thick. Honore de Balzac did not change his hair color, preferring natural. The writer has a large, straight nose and a rectangular chin. Honore de Balzac wore a mustache. The growth of the writer is 182 cm, no tattoos.
