Born on May 21, 1913. Graduated from the Theater School named after M.S. Shchepkin (1938). Since 1938 - artist of the Ostrovsky Moscow Regional Collective Farm Theater, in 1940 - artist of the Moscow Art Theater. Since 1941 - artist at the Maly Theater. In 1950-1954 he taught at the Theater School named after M.S. Shchepkina. In the cinema since 1941.
People's Artist of the RSFSR (1966) .
He passed away on June 22, 1988 in Moscow.
