Born March 20, 1905 in Rostov-on-Don. Having lost her father at an early age, Panova lived a difficult working childhood. She was engaged in self-education, from her youth she wrote poetry. At the age of 17 she worked in the editorial office of the Rostov newspaper "Trudovy Don".
