Soviet and Russian actress Tatyana Peltzer was born in the summer of 1904 in Moscow. Her parents were Russianized immigrants from Germany. Therefore, the first language that Tatyana learned to speak was German.
Peltzer demonstrated the makings of acting talent since childhood: she performed in family performances organized by her father, an actor. At the age of 9, Tatiana first appeared on the professional stage, playing Avdia in the production of Kamo Gryadeshi. Soon the actress appeared in the Noble Nest, Anna Karenina and other performances.
In 1920, Tatiana was hired by the Mobile Theater of the Political Administration, despite the lack of specialized education. For several years, Peltzer performed in Yeisk and Nakhichevan, and in 1923 she got a job at MGSPS. Later she was dismissed, calling her unfit. To ensure her life, the artist had to work as a typist.
Tatiana later became the wife of the German Hans Teibler. In 1930, the couple moved to Berlin, where Peltzer found work at the USSR Trade Representation. After a while, Tatyana divorced her husband and came back to Moscow.
At home, the actress continued to play on stage. Since 1940, Peltzer worked at the Moscow Theater of Miniatures, where she became famous. After seven years of fruitful work, Tatyana went to the Moscow Theater of Satire, and then got a job in Lenkom.
In between performances, the actress acted in films. In 1953, the first successful film with Tatyana Peltzer was released - a comedy by Isidor Annensky called The Wedding. The role in this tape brought the actress nationwide popularity.
