Born on February 3, 1965 in the city of Simferopol, Crimean Region, Ukrainian SSR. In 1991 he graduated from the directing department of GITIS (workshop of Oscar Remez and Mark Zakharov). In 1993 he worked as an actor at the Crimean Academic Russian Drama Theater named after I. M. Gorky. From 1995 to 1997 he studied at the Literary Institute. A. M. Gorky. In 2005 he graduated from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors (workshop of Pyotr Todorovsky and Natalia Ryazantseva).
