Elena Dobronravova was born in July 1932 in the family of actors of the Moscow Art Theater, moreover, her father, Boris Dobronravov, is the People's Artist of the USSR. She grew up surrounded by creative people, therefore, succumbing to their influence, she made a choice of a future profession in favor of acting. After school, Elena enters the Nemirovich-Danchenko Studio School, and a couple of years later, she is transferred to the Shchukin Theater School. In 1954, the year of her graduation, the first film with Elena Dobronravova, Big Family, was released, in which the actress played the role of a minor character, and the tape itself was a laureate of the Cannes Film Festival, winning the nomination for Best Actor Ensemble.
In parallel with filming a movie, she participated in productions of the theater. Vakhtangov, where she often appeared on stage with her aunt, Elizaveta Alekseeva. Actually, she worked in this theater until her death: from 1954 to 1999, and in many respects, thanks to her theatrical activities, she was in demand among Soviet directors. After a successful film debut, the following famous films with the participation of Elena Dobronravova are released: City lights the lights, Workers' Village, Shield and Sword, Portrait of Dorian Gray, Accused of Murder, Commander of the Happy Pike, Tehran-43. All of the above tapes are dramatic films or are a mixture of war film and drama.
On her account - only 18 works in cinema, however, Elena, as they say, took not quantity, but quality. She mostly always received leading roles both in films and in theatrical productions, it was thanks to her talent that in 1968 she received the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
