Born June 20, 1963 in Odintsovo, Moscow Region.
She dreamed of becoming an actress since childhood. But in the first year after school, she failed her exams at the theater institute and went to work on television, as an accountant.
A year later, she entered GITIS, in the acting group of the directing department, in the workshop of Andrey Goncharov.
In 1985, after graduating from the institute, Goncharov invited her to the theater. V. Mayakovsky. Since then Olga Prokofieva has been an actress of Mayakovka .
Honored Artist of Russia (2001).
Son Alexander, from the age of six playing on stage, also became an actor.
