The future Honored Artist of the RSFSR Igor Sannikov was born in August 1936. None of his relatives had any idea that this little man had a great future. Unfortunately, practically nothing is known about his youth. In 1954 he joined the Creative Team of the Lilliputians. Works as a saxophonist in the eccentric ensemble Kinojazz, under the direction of M. Kachuriner. The ensemble was engaged in the creation of parodies of foreign film stars. Igor was the conductor of the orchestra, played both the saxophone and the clarinet and accordion. In 1984 he became the director of this ensemble.
In 1987 he left the small but friendly team and began to play in the theater. The first theatrical roles of Igor Sannikov: Tales of Hollywood, Our Decameron. He toured Germany for two years with the play Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Also, he worked for four months at the Victoria Theater (Oslo). In 1996, he was invited by director Lev Anokhin to take part in the performance of The Revenge of the Queen, or Novella by Margaret of Navarre. The most notable roles of Igor Sannikov were played by Nikita Mikhalkov and Alexander Abdulov (The Barber of Siberia and the New Bremen Town Musicians). Igor Sannikov wrote his memoirs I'm going to the circus, which will soon be on sale. This charming actor died on New Year's Eve 2014, at the age of 78.
