Stendhal is an outstanding French writer, one of the founders and founders of the psychological novel, whose real name is Henri Marie Beyle. He was born in the southeast of France in the glorious city of Grenoble on January 23, 1783. From the age of seven Stendhal was left without a mother, so he was brought up by his father and aunt. Grandfather Henri - a man who was often in the circles of famous literary figures and well-versed in the then cultural directions, spent a lot of time with his grandson, which could not but affect the formation of the child's personality.
Stendhal graduated from only three classes of school, but later independently mastered the fundamental principles of mathematics, philosophy, logic. In 1799, Henri went to Paris to study further, but his plans changed. A passionate adherent of Napoleon's policies, he goes to serve in the army. By appointment, he goes to the north of Italy, where he falls in love with this country. Over time, the young man becomes disillusioned with the actions of the then government, which contributes to his resignation. For three years he has been improving his knowledge and expanding his potential in the field of the same philosophy, literature, languages. From 1805, continuous wars began again, so Henri returned to service.
The defeat of Napoleon's army is the starting point in the literary activity of Henri Marie Beil. It was after his retirement in 1814 that he left France and went to Milan. How many years Stendhal dreamed of returning to Italy, the country that conquered him. It is here that he creates his first creations: "Biography of Haydn, Mozart and Metastasio", "History of Painting in Italy" and others.
1821 marks his return home, where Stendhal plunges into an atmosphere of literary and political turmoil. In Paris, his first work in his homeland is published - the book "On Love", in which he analyzes various forms of love among people of different status and condition. During 1826-1827 he was working on his first novel, which, unfortunately, did not arouse much interest among readers. This was perhaps the most difficult period in the life of the writer. His morale plummeted and his failures were disheartening. But soon a very interesting work appeared for Stendhal - an order for a guide to Rome. It was not at all difficult for Henri to do this, on the contrary, it was a joy, because Italy remained for him a muse. The work "Walks in Rome" was published in 1829, the text is accessible, simple, written in the form of a story about the journey of French tourists through the landscapes of Italy.
In 1831 another novel by Stendhal, Red and Black, was published, which immortalized his name. In the period 1835-1836 he was writing a novel about his destiny "The Life of Henri Brulard". Henri Marie Bayle died of an aortic aneurysm on March 23, 1842. Stendhal never stopped creating until the end of his days.
Stendhal has blue eyes, naturally dark hair, fair skin and thin lips. The shape of the face is round, the forehead is high, the hair is curly and thick.
