In 1990, a beautiful woman and talented artist Elena Gogoleva was born in Moscow. Little Lena was brought up in a strict family, her father was an officer, and therefore she graduated from the Institute for Noble Maidens. But, in the future, the young gifted girl decided to imitate her mother, who was also an actress and was able to join the troupe of the Maly Theater after a brilliant performance in the production of The Merchant of Venice.

The artist has played in many famous productions on the stage of the Maly Theater, namely: Woe from Wit, Vanity Fair, Dowry, Boris Godunov, Thunderstorm, Glass of Water, Serfs and many others. Basically, a talented theatergoer was entrusted with heroic or dramatic roles. Gogoleva never stopped improving, she spent a lot of time improving her stage speech or polishing her stage image. For the first time, Elena plunged into the cinematic world in 1920 in the film Angelo, later this motion picture did not appear on the screens. In 1949, Gogoleva was awarded the title of "People's Artist of the USSR".

In 1993, at the age of 93, the legendary artist died and was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery.
