Famous film artist, painter, graphic artist. Member of the Union of Cinematographers and the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1973) .
He graduated from the art school in Sverdlovsk (1948), then the art department of VGIK in Moscow (1954).
In the 50-80s of the last century he worked at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio, where, as a production designer, he took part in the production of many films that received awards at prestigious film festivals. Participated in the production of popular science films "A Story of the Stone" (directed by L. Rymarenko and V. Volianskaya, Lomonosov Prize, 1958; diploma of the International Film Festival in Montevideo, 1958), "The Tamed Enemy" (1963, directed by L. Rymarenko and V. .Volyanskaya, diploma of the International Film Festival in Budapest, 1964), "Circle of Life" (1976, directed by L. Rymarenko and V.Volyanskaya, Main Prize of the All-Union Film Festival in Riga, 1977) .
In 1994, together with film critic, editor Lev Eglit, he opened the Cinema Museum at this studio.
