Born on August 26, 1916 in Smolensk.
Studied and worked in the drama studio of Ruben Simonov (1933-1938).
Graduated from the Moscow City Theater School (1938) .
Giorgi Georgiu made his film debut at the age of 18, playing the role of a hooligan in Ruben Simonov's comedy "Spring Days" (the film, unfortunately, has not survived).
In 1945, after the end of the Great Patriotic War, Georgiou became an actor in the Film Actor's Studio Theater.
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1974).
He passed away on March 11, 1991 in Moscow. He was buried at the Danilovskoye cemetery in Moscow.
