Karina Anatolyevna Moritz - Soviet film actress and artist, was born in the fall of 1967 in the city of St. Petersburg (then Leningrad). The parents of the actress (father Anatoly and mother Galina) lived in a St. Petersburg communal apartment and often went on business trips to Algeria with their baby daughter. Studying in a "French" school and regular trips abroad contributed to the fact that Karina knew French no worse than her native Russian.
It was not for nothing that Karina Moritz was born in the cultural capital, the young girl was so gifted, as if God kissed her on the top of her head at birth - the girl succeeded in everything she undertook. Painting from early childhood was her first and main passion, Karina studied first at the local House of Pioneers, and later with the best teachers of the Mukhino school.
Already in 1977, the first film with Karina Moritz - Declaration of Love, where the 10-year-old actress played a small cameo role, was released. Despite the fact that the girl's heart lay more for drawing than acting, fate brings Karina to the Academy of Theater Arts at the acting department. Having received a diploma, the girl continues to shoot in films, but she is very indifferent to this. In the 1990s, the girl moved with her family to France and stopped acting in films. The life of a talented actress and artist was cut short in 2008 due to a tragic incident.
In autumn 2009, a memorable exhibition of paintings by Karina Moritz was held in the I. Brodsky apartment-museum.
