He played in bands such as Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave (he still belongs to the former). He released three solo albums under the pseudonym The Nightwatchman. Together with rapper Boots Riley, he created the Street Sweeper Social Club. Ranked 26th on Rolling Stone Magazine's 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time [1]. Known for his unusual technique of playing electric guitar with the active use of tremolo and switching sensors on the instrument. Co-founder of Axis of Justice, a non-profit organization.
