Born on March 9, 1934 in the village of Glinjeni (Romania, now Moldova) in the family of a forester.
In 1955 he graduated from the Orhei Pedagogical School.
Since 1952 he worked as a primary school teacher in the village of Popoutsi, in 1955 he became the head of a club in the village of Lipcheny, Rezinsky district.
After the republican amateur show, he was invited to the educational acting group of the Balti Moldavian-Russian Musical Drama Theater named after Alexandri. Since 1957 he has been an actor in this theater.
