Bi-2 is a legendary group founded by Shura and Leva in Belarus, the city of Bobruisk, in 1988. However, the period of the group's main activity began only after the guys moved in 1999 to a permanent place of residence in Russia. Today it is practically the most successful group in the Russian Federation in its genre. Several of Bi-2's albums have even been certified gold.
During their musical activities in Belarus from 1988 to 1991, Lyova and Shura managed to work in the theatrical children's studio "Rose", after the closure of which they decided to devote themselves to music. So, in 1988, the Brothers in Arms collective was formed together with musicians from the Chance group. Later they renamed it to the Coast of Truth. The line-up of the group was impressive - 15 people (with a brass and a rock band). At one of the rock festivals in Bobruisk, the artists failed, after which the group suspended its activities. But not for long. In August 1989 the group was reborn under the new name Bi-2 (Coast of Truth - 2). The following year, Bi-2 already recorded their debut album Traitors to the Motherland and toured throughout Belarus. However, the album was not released, and the group ceased to exist, and its members Lyova and Shura moved to Israel.
In Israel one could occasionally watch the Bi-2 performing new songs at club venues and several festivals. The style of the band also changes here - now acoustic sound is a priority. It was during this period that the current hits of Varvara and With you were written.
In 1998, after a long break, the group reunited again, and its modern history began with Lyova and Shura. Bass guitarist Peter Woodrob later joined their ranks. The music clearly shows Western influence, the styles of which are new to Russian listeners. In the fall of 2015, a new album will be released, which will be called Clinch.
