Leslie Garrett - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born in Thorne, near Doncaster in South Yorkshire, to a musical family. Leslie attended Thorne Grammar School, where she starred in school plays and musicals. Her grandfather was a classical pianist. The girl's father worked as a signalman at the railway station, and her mother was a seamstress, she loved to sing, and she did it very well. While working as a dishwasher in the summer near RAF Lindholme, 19-year-old Leslie received two marriage proposals.
