Actor who played on the stage of the Russian Drama Theaters in Chisinau and Riga (1960-1989) in the roles of Lopakhin (The Cherry Orchard) and Mendel (Babel's Sunset).
In 1989 he was invited to the Moscow Theater named after Evgeny Vakhtangov (1989-1992), where he again played Mendel, but without the previous brilliance.

He died suddenly after cycling at the age of 54.
