Born on April 23, 1939 in Alma-Ata.
Graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (1962) .
In 1963-1964 - an actor at the Central Children's Theater in Moscow, then - at the Drama Theater. K. S. Stanislavsky,
1969-1992 - Theater-studio of film actor.
He has been painting professionally since 1972 (he began to study the basics of painting at the age of 12 in a private way) [2]. Personal exhibitions, starting in 1983, were held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, London. From 7 to 19 April 2009, the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia hosted an exhibition of paintings "Energy Realism", timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of Lev Prygunov
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1976).
