Born 02/23/1944 in the family of a Polish nobleman. The boy's father ended up in Stalin's camps, after which the once rich family was forced to live on one of his mother's accountant's salaries. After some time, the family moved to Saratov. Then Oleg Yankovsky will live a little with his older brother in Minsk, where he will first appear on the theater stage.
Upon returning home, Oleg enters medical school, but he is still drawn to play. Having missed the entrance exams to the theater, he is still admitted to study. As it turned out later, Oleg was simply confused with his brother Nikolai, who secretly from his family also tried to get into the school. Student successes do not go unnoticed. Yankovsky, together with his girlfriend Lyudmila, begins to work at the Saratov Theater. On the next tour, Oleg again, by a lucky chance, gets the role - the first screen work in the image of Heinrich Schwarzkopf in the military dilogy Shield and Sword. After the premiere, fame literally fell on the guy.
