Born on August 1, 1948 in Riga, in a working class family.
Graduated from Riga 8th evening secondary school named after J. Rainis (1968), People's Film Actor's Studio of the Riga Film Studio (1971), theatrical faculty of the Latvian State Conservatory. J. Vitola (1974) .
